A Hard Worker

One of those late nights in the office when I brought Dan dinner and we ate at his desk so we could have a little family time.

Late nights we go to the library and Milah loves doing their large puzzles and playing with the abacus...oh, and running through the library.

Temple Date and the Golden Gate Bridge

Patrice's family watched Milah so we could have a date at the LDS temple! What a wonderful experience :) These are from October or early Nov but they watched her again yesterday so we could go before Brielle arrives. How we appreciate the date-day :) One of Dan's favorite things is going over the bridges. He told me yesterday if he could do a "bridge tour" and drive all the bridges in the area, he would.
Lookin' sharp Danny :)

We finally made it to the Golden Gate Bridge! Dan found a new hobby he wants to try...kite surfing. Also, we saw some teams sailing boats like the America's Cup boats. They move so fast! It was a treat to see!

We Girls Love Cooking Together!

Her favorite food...pomegranates! We eat many each week, usually on the front porch in the mornings.

I love this bread from a book called "Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes A Day."

Milah always wants to put the oven mitts on her hands

She helps me pour and mix and blend

This was  a delicious dinner! Fresh squeezed orange juice, pita sandwich (on the left), hummus and veggies, falafels, and Algerian flat bread.

I tried making homemade pumpkin pie from a home cooked pumpkin -- it was great! And I didn't forget the sugar this time (I've done that before).

This was an awesome recipe for Root Vegetables Patrice came up with when I asked her how I could use celery root. Bake at 400 for 25 mins or until soft. Red potatoes, parsnip, golden beets, purple beets, fresh rosemary, turnip, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and red onions. So so delicious!

My favorite breakfast/lunch. It's Wasa light rye "bread" with avocado, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil. Oh, and spike as the spice. I eat it often!

Utah with Dan's Family

Holbrook Family and Football Games

Uncle Rick took us to a Stanford Football game. It was so much fun! We won :)

Aunt Patrice read Maisy books to Milah at Stake Conference

Our little cheerleader for the BYU games we watch at Jeff and Patrice's house. Jeff is really fun with Milah. He plays a laughing game where they laugh (fake "hahaha" laughs) back and forth.

Aunt Patrice made Dan this awesome chocolate birthday cake. Also, Milah's favorite game at Jeff and Patrice's house...this pyramid that stacks most any way you put them together. She has spent hours playing with these cubes.

Whole Foods Pumpkin Patch

Milah's got her scared face ready! Love it :-)

Flooding

We had a few rainy days here in Palo Alto...looking out my kitchen window
But my family really got the floods!
