Rhode Island

Milah and I did the Cliff Walk in Newport Beach for a fun day's excursion

She is as beautiful as the wild roses smelled!

There were lots of stairs I had not anticipated and a young man and his family from Lebanon kept stopping/waiting to help me. They seemed like especially kind, light-filled people!

My favorite viewpoint.
Gazebos are enchanting; especially when they are in such a beautiful place as this!

Love the sound of these waves!

Uncle Chris and aunt Cheryl let us stay in their beautiful home. We learned all about Cogneti, a learning program they are developing and we are so excited about! We found out uncle Chris is the baby whisperer -- he could stop Milah from crying when no one else could!

Traveling to CA

Rach, thanks so much for opening your home to us! We loved the fun experience of Las Vegas!

Trip to Pacific Grove and Carmel

The family at the beach in Carmel!

We LOVE the beach cottage where we stayed for the week!
The beautiful stay was a graduation gift from Ma and Pa  Holbrook!
One of the very VERY few times Milah has taken a pacifier.

My favorite Daddy-daughter pic :)

A DELIGHTFUL WALK:

Monday we took one of our favorite walks we've ever been on. We started at the beach cottage, walked along the coast, to the farmers market, to the real estate group (of course :)), and back home.
Milah doing yoga ;) on the beautiful purple flowers in full bloom outside the beach cottage.

While walking along the coast we saw a killer whale -- and no, that's not our zoom lens. She was 100 yards away from us! A mother and baby orca whale were chasing a sea lion, which brought them close to shore.

We ate yummy falafels at the farmers market!
Then we headed home for some Incredibles. We have only watched about 4 movies since Milah was born (as of June 13th) and they include Finding Nimo, Incredibles, The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, and probably some health documentary.

HIGHWAY 1 EXCURSION

First of all let me say Milah loves her moby; or rather, I love her moby. I love that it puts her right where she used to be all cuddled up on my tummy. I can still rub her like I used to be able to rub my tummy :-) And besides, doesn't she look adorable in there?

We stopped along the way at a National Forest and along Highway 1 for a few hours of walking. Here is what we saw:

Presiden Marchenkov

Here we are with Pr Marchenkov! He was really really funny -- we loved listening him to talk!
He said "my wife says I a nuerd'. How you say nuerd???"  He meant nerd! It was hilarious! We loved him!

Diaper Cake

Momma Holbrook threw me a baby shower and she made this adorable diaper cake!
We love it so much :) -- and we have some newborn diapers! Yay!!!

Last weekend at the Holbrook's

Dan's mom had kept all these easter eggs for years (per the kids' request) and Danny had the greatest idea that we should blow them up using firecrackers. It was pretty funny because I had asked if these are "heat seeking" firecrackers. I don't like the idea of getting hit by them :) Who would? Anyway, the very first firecracker he shot off he threw toward some wet plants away from me and it somehow blew up and hit me in the chest!!! Unbelievable! Really, it defied the laws of physics! It didn't do anything but just made us laugh a lot! How in the world???
